Established by a group of Californian professors, CSUPOM is to disseminate Supply Chain & Operations Management (broadly defined) research and practices to researchers, educators and practitioners by facilitating the exchange of ideas leading to the theoretical and applied research through CSUPOM conferences and the Journal of Supply Chain & Operations Management (JSCOM). 

JSCOM was formerly called California Journal of Operations Management. The first issue was published in 2003. The journal name was changed to Journal of Supply Chain & Operations Management in 2012 (Vol. 10).
